In the South-east Asian meet going on in Singapore, the US president Barack Obama has asked the prime minister of Burma to release Aung San Suu Kyi, the pro-democracy leader. Currently Aung San Suu Kyi has been under house arrest and is more than 14 years. The Burmese government has plans to help Aung San Suu Kyi to be in house arrest till the polls that would take place next year. It is really sad to know that in spite of Aung San Suu Kyi winning the elections, she was not allowed to come to power. Hope she is released soon!
